Kristin Boese, 9x Kiteboarding World Champion and Founder of KB4Girls and Jessica Valenzuela, media entrepreneur and Founder of Mavin Digital, Inc. and Just Kite It teamed up to produce the first Mentor Series in the mighty Hood River, Oregon!
Kristin has been in the sport since 2002. She travels the world to kite while winning contests in different categories of kiteboarding. Her work through KB4girls encourages women around the world to push their kiting to the next level or to try the sport. Just Kite It, a New York based media and social community startup for any level kiter is proud to be a media partner in the first KB4girl kite camp in New York!
About the event
The Mentor Series is a group travel program open to singles and couples of any age who are interested to learn kiteboarding with the mighty river Gorge and Hood River as a backdrop. The package includes lodging, air travel, meals and kiteboarding instruction from IKO certified instructors with kiteboarding World Champion Kristin Boese.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to KB4Girls and other charitable organizations that focus on the protection of oceans and beaches. The camp itself will be open to beginner and early advanced riders who want to improve and perfect their style. For five days participants will receive instruction on and off the water, as well as Q&As with pro rider Kristin Boese. Equipment will be supplied. Instruction lasts three hours per day, after which participants can enjoy the many nature spots and activities that the Hood River offers.
What to bring for the kiting lessons: bathing suit, board shorts, rash guard, sunscreen, sunglasses, full wet-suit (4/3 or thicker), water booties and drinking water.
